How come Verizon mobile phones get such good reception in New York City?
Every time I’m at a basement level, my Sprint phone goes into roaming or has no bars at all, which drains the battery, but all my brothers with Verizon are fine. Does Sprint and other carriers have a different technology that is not powerful enough to penetrate underground?
More radio towers maybe?
CDMA is better compared to a PCS network…Verizon is CDMA!
because verizon and sprint use cdma technology. but verizon’s has more towers than sprint thats why it works better than sprint even though they use da same technology. at&t n t-mobile use gsm which is good but it doesn’t penetrate buildings that good. so in places like underground at&t n t-mobile never work. also verizon’s cdma towers could handle more calls than gsm towers thats why verizon rarely drops calls. cause on gsm networks like at&t and t-mobile when it gets overloaded even if ur phone has full reception u still might call failed. t-mobile and at&t use sim cards which is a little chip that goes in da back of the battery. and it makes the phone connect to the tower. verizon and sprint do not use sim cards. also verizon and sprint have faster data speeds. like when u are using the internet its so fast as dsl speeds. at&t and t-mobile like i said there towers could not handle having a lot of people on it thats why internet speed is also crap compared to verizon or sprint. and i been to new york before and at&t and t-mobile are crap. especially at&t t-mobile still works kinda better. the only reason at&t gets overloaded all da time is because sooo much people have it. and since not a lot of people have t-mobile it tends to work better in new york but ounce in a while the t-mobile towers get overloaded. so yea if u want perfect reception in da whole us i would suggest to get verizon. verizon has coverage in all da 50 states and at&t only has coverage in 46 states. also verizon has more 3G evdo coverage than at&t. and verizon works in da subway.
