How to hotsync Treo 650 with Yahoo calendar and contacts through the internnet; wirelessly?
I thought it might be possible to be able to keep my contacts and appointments in sync with my Yahoo information. I am aware of Intelisync for Yahoo, but that requires being connected with a PC. I thought it may be possible that the Treo syncs via the Internet. Anyone ever hear of this?
Definitely. Well, at least partially. Some service providers have a wireless sync program that you can use. However, you’ll just have to check with your service provider to see exactly what the specifications for that are. For instance, with Verizon, you could sync your yahoo mail (as long as it was a paid yahoo account), but you couldn’t directly import the yahoo calendar and contacts, although you could wirelessly do so if said contacts and calendar were in outlook. I actually don’t think the contacts and calendar thing is going to happen just yet, but call tech support for your service provider. That’s right, call, don’t go into the store.
Yes you can but you need to have internet access on your treo but the best way to do it is on your PC merge your contacts(yahoo) with Palm Desktop (comes with your treo softeware). Then hit the hotsync option on your treo and pick the IR to a PC/Handheld to connect wirelessly. Good luck
