How to read Blackberry Messages with no reader knowing?
i\’ve a blackberry javelin. Someone told me that there\’s a way to read the blackberry messages (BBMs) without the sender knowing that you read it. How do you do this?

I believe you were given incorrect information because once you scroll to the message and read it. the icon next to it changes from a “D” for delivered to “R” for read.. so the reader will know.
The only way I can think of is for you to not scroll up to the msg, simply open their user name and read it.
The R is not Read it is received. It simply states it made it to the device, not that it has been read by the end user.
Danf2, I think you have given a wrong information. R stands for Read. D stands for Delivered (Received).

you can if u keep bbm history. go to the chat, click the bb menu, go to view history, and the chat should be there and u read it, and the other person wont know. … i use this method myself.
R means ‘Read’
The trick is to open a conversation with another contact. BB will show the undread messages at the bottom without marking them read.
