What does the texting option look like for the Samsung Omnia?

i\’ve the Env2.. I like the qwerty keyboard but I’m looking for a phone where texting between two people looks like an AIM/AOL conversation.. similar to that of the iPhone.. Does somebody know if the Samsung Omnia holds that feature?
Also, if I buy the phone do i\’ve to automatically pay the $30 for internet each month?

Thanks!

The Omnia doesn’t have the conversation feature like the iPhone, however I find texting much easier on the Omnia because you can text landscape style, not just Portrait like the iPhone.

Unfortunately, you are required to pay the $30 extra because the Omnia is considered a smartphone.

It’s a great phone, great choice!

yea it is just like the iphone. you also have the option of visual voice mail but u will have to pay for that. and u do have to pay for data plan.

Okay. The Omnia does have threaded text messaging, but it looks exactly like an AIM conversation, with the person, time, date, etc. in blue and the text. It’s not separated by the alignment or colour like it is on the iPhone. Bascially, the interface isn’t as pretty as the iPhone’s, but it’s definitely more usable. The hardware, in my opinion, is just plain gorgeous. The brushed metal and matte black back makes it one of the most stunning phones out there. The Omnia, with Verizon, brings a required $30 data charge with it.
Keep in mind that it’s a Windows Mobile phone, and it can be tiresome to use. That’s the reason I went with a Blackberry. You can sort of get threaded text-messaging, but it’s much better overall.
