How could i update Verizon wireless phone with no paying?

i\’ve had my cell phone (Samsung Juke) for about a month now, and my contract isn’t due until next month. The Juke isn’t the best phone, since it’s really small and kind of easy to be damaged if it’s dropped often. I will love to get a new phone, does somebody know if i\’ve to pay more since my contract isn’t over yet. And whenever I search it on Verizon it states that i\’ve to update my contract by 2 months, which isn’t something I’m planning on doing. Any help?

Cell phone companies do not have any incentive to give you a discount if you are not renewing the contract. I know you’ve been a great customer and have always paid your bill on time but that doesn’t help you get a new phone. Why don’t you want to renew your contract for 2 years? Are you not happy with the service? If so, then talk to Verizon so that they can try to address your issue. If you don’t have reception, then they will let you out of your contract early.

Depending on the exact date you signed up, you may be eligible for what’s called “annual upgrade”. You would not be able to get a phone for free but you do get some discount. However, you do have to renew your contract, though.

If you buy a new phone outright it will be pretty expensive – but if a friend or family member has a phone you wouldn’t mind having and they will sell it or give it to you – switching from phone to phone is free and can be done right from Verizon’s website. Also, if you DO decide to buy a new phone, I suggest going to Radio Shack if you have them near you. Their prices are almost always way better than the Verizon store itself.
