Can I use the wifi feature on the treo pro with cricket service?
I recently have a palm centro that is flashed to cricket, but I want to get the treo pro. However, I dont want to spend the money on it if im not going to be able to use the wifi feature. So, if I flash the treo pro to cricket will I be able to use wifi or will it be disabled?
Wifi will have nothing to do with the phone company. If you are in an area with free wifi, you’ll be able to use it. Make sure you buy the Treo Pro GSM version, because if you don’t, you won’t be able to flash it for Cricket.
I never really help by commenting people, but the Wi-Fi feature.. are you talking a wireless hotspot feature.. Like support others with wireless internet around you.. if thats what your talking about, then no.. it will not for the bandwith that Cricket will allow u to have through the internet isn’t that high..
Umm but if your talking about connecting to a wireless access point and useing it as internet, you should be able to do that without service.. im not too sure about that phone, but the wifi feature should work, for that features more of a stand alone thing… i have no idea if im providing you with help, if not then im sorry, if i am then your welcome..
