How to get Verizon prepaid when you already have a phone?
Someone gave me a Verizon Blackberry Pearl (I don’t have service with them already though) and i want to get a prepaid plan for it. Do I just buy the minutes card? How exactly do I set it up?

You would have to go to a Verizon Wireless store and have it activated as a prepaid cell phone. However since the cell phone belongs to your friend, they will check to see who that cell phone belongs to and if your friend’s account has been paid in full. Make sure your friend’s account does not have any delinquencies or any balance due.
It is recommended that your friend comes with you to the Verizon store when you activate that cell phone so that your friend can release and give permission to give that cell phone to you when Verizon activates that phone and asks about it.
