Strong’s Old and New Testament Bible Dictionaries

The Old and New Testament Bible glossaries are actually an index. Each word from the original Greek script was given a unique number by Dr. James Strong over 100 years ago. It is still in use by many followers today and the numbers are called Strong’s numbers.

There are two types of dictionary lexicons included in this package, which give you the ability to either search by a Strong’s number or by word, providing the corresponding Strong’s number, the pronunciation of the word and its description in English. For Bible studies, this is the most common way to look up original language definitions.

The full version of Strong’s NT dictionary contains 5 624 entries in 534kB file, while the OT dictionary contains about 8 760 entries in 707kB file. The demo versions are limited to only entries starting with the first three letters of the alphabet, but should give a good idea about the quality of the dictionaries.

Easton’s Bible Dictionary

The Easton’s Bible dictionary features about 4,000 words from the Bible in about 1.2 MB highly compressed database.

First released in 1897, this is probably one of the most popular biblical dictionaries in USA to date.

American Tract Society Bible Dictionary

The American Tract Society Bible Dictionary is a dictionary of the Holy Bible for general use in the study of the scriptures. Provides explanations in English of 2,288 unique Bible word and phrase definitions.
